District Roundtable The Milton District
Roundtable provides a great forum to meet with other Den Leaders. It takes place the third Thursday evening
of each month at the Alpharetta Presbyterian Church. See the Milton District website for more
details. Note that 4 roundtables are
required for the Adult Leader Award (knot).
See the Meeting Resources on this page for
additional information. The Program
Helps are a good meeting resource.
Both training in our own Milton District as well
as the Chattahoochee District are close enough to attend easily. Check their web sites for the latest
upcoming training.
CPR Training - The Atlanta Area Council
does CPR Saturday on the first Saturday of each month at heavily discounted
rates. Check the calendar and
register at www.atlantabsa.org.
BALOO / WOLT Basic Adult Leader Outdoor
Orientation and Webelo Outdoor Leader Training are great advanced training
classes. These are required to take
a Webelo Den camping or a Cub Scout Pack on an overnight trip.
CSLS / Breakouts These are required for
every leader. The districts provide
this training on 2-3 days each Spring and Fall. Be sure to get registered in time to be fully
trained for the year.

Leader knots are awarded to leaders for completing
a set of initiatives during each year of service. All knots require that the leader attend
4 District Roundtable meetings during the year or attend Scouters Academy
in the fall.
See the Forms section of scouting.org for the Adult
Leader Awards Records for each position.
Pack 985 leader meetings take place on the last Sunday
of every month at the Scout House.
Exact meeting dates and times will be published in ScoutTrack.
District Roundtable is a valuable leader meeting
for training and information.
Leaders interested in earning their uniform knot must attend 4
roundtables per year. It takes place
on the 3d Thursday of every month at the Alpharetta Presbyterian
Church. See the Milton District
website for more information on upcoming Roundtable topics.
